 8^th Grade Banquet is looking for a catering company to cater  banquet for a reasonable cost…..for 300-350 people…(we lost our previous caterer)…contact Ms. Edgar at the Middle School.

If you would like to donate to Teacher Appreciation Luncheon, please leave monetary donation at Front Offices in PTO mailbox.  Thank you!

Aloha all Kihei Charter PTO members…..We would love for anyone that could attend this meeting to attend!!! We have some fundraisers coming up that we really need help with and need the support, if not we may not be able to offer them.

Welcome to all the new members, (25 new families in December and January).  We are at 13.25% of all of our KCS families.  Our goal is to get 100% family membership by the end of the year and renew at that 100% for the next year.  Please spread the word to all your friends and students’ friends….It is simply $15 donated to your children’s school, no requirement to help only if you choose and you get the latest on what is going on at Kihei Charter School!

 4.  Congratulations to Ms. Federoff and her Advisory Class..she has won $50 gift card and the Advisory an ice cream party for winning the PTO membership Advisory Challenge.  61% of her students’ families are KCS-PTO members..Thank you Ms. Federoff for being such a dedicated teacher!

 6.  Jungle to Jungle has worked with KCS Middle School for the last 3 years. Last semester, they connected the 6th graders with the Green School in Bali, Indonesia, to compare the ancient Hawaiian culture to that of ancient Bali. The students got to talk live with the students in Indonesia, discussing the ancient irrigation systems, food, and even surfing! This semester, JtoJ will work with the 7th and 8th graders on a collaborative science project between the two schools.

1. Jungle to Jungle is a non-profit, and its largest fundraiser of the year is coming up! We would love it if the parents of KCS knew about it and came out to have a blast AND support a program that benefits the school.
